Interviewed with one professor, still rejected.

I applied because one compatriot teacher there invited me to apply to the university to join his research team and do my master's with him. My admission may have been influenced by that/him

To the Columbia post below asking about the interview; it's basically a call to get to know the potential candidate. Being an Ivy League University, Columbia thrives on diversity and uses these calls as a precursor to that. Can you please share your profile and the date of submission of your application?

Standard rejection mail. Undergrad from India.

Got a generic rejection e-mail. Expected since many admits were already sent. Had an interview earlier that didn't go to well.

MSAII Reject. They just want your application monies.

To the poster before, this is really strange. I received an email did interview a week ago and was assuming that I was shortlisted for first round of admission. Now, I am confused too. Not everyone received interview invitation though.

Guys, chill please. Just wait for the email. You are making everyone anxious. We should just stop speculating for the common good :D

Emailed the department asking about the admissions decisions, was informed that they are finalizing the admits and will be declared in the coming few weeks.
