Computer Science Graduate School Admission Results

So guys, I'm pretty sure the previous posts were spam. I've applied for MCDS and MSCS and I mailed CMU asking for the decision dates. This was their exact reply: 'Admissions decisions are typically announced mid to late February'. I guess we don't need to stress so much about it right now.

Has any one heard from Minnesota

No departmental funding =/

TTPB: it is the notification sent from the CS department and mentions that the official offers will be made by GSAS in the next few weeks. My status on the website is still 'submitted'. PS: it seems that some received the notification last week so the results are not announced at the same time. Good luck!

Does no interview mean rejection? Are there any cases where people are admitted without interview?

TTPB: I had an interview with BU/ some communication with profs thereafter, and they said the committee make decisions in the next week or so. Area: theory

Interview invitation at short notice: was interviewed on Feb 12th.

GRE: 164(q), 162(v), 4(awa); TOEFL: 115; EEE undergrad.(8.44) Poor grade in CS courses(>7) and good grades in Maths courses(>9). Average LORs, from non-CS college professors who were instructors in courses - zero research experience; 2 yr work exp (when applying) in related domain( Machine Learning); better than average SOP, made a website, had done many coursera courses and some self-initiated projects; Undergrad - BITS Pilani, Pilani Campus, India; Conditional Admit; Funding: Fellowship of the grand amount of 300$

I got 13 rejects last year, and was even rejected by NEU CS this year. So glad that at least someone believed in my creds. Offered 8k/year scholarship as well. My application did not have any academic LORs as well, it was an uphill battle to say the least.

Got accepted to Waterloo with full funding... I guess they are looking for something specific
