Was waitlisted on March 16, will be accepting an offer.

The director directly emailed me to tell me their decision

TTBP: Yes I have been accepted into these programs and I'm trying to decide. Thanks for your response.

TTPB: have you already been accepted at those schools, and trying to decide where to go? I think either Tufts or Notre Dame would be good choice for CME. If you look at the CME research activities at Dartmouth it's almost below avg. compared to other schools. But if you have any plan to switch to astronomy, Dartmouth would be a good choice -- again, this is by looking at their current research and overall departmental activities. Best of luck!

To the poster below, I don't about the merits of each of the programs you mentioned in CME, but I'm on the waitlist at Tufts and it's my last chance to get into a program (and it's my second year trying). So if it's just a toss-up between these three programs, it would be greatly appreciated if you didn't select Tufts!

Hello everyone! This is a very critical moment in my life and I could use your inputs. As y'all know, tomorrow 15th is the decision deadline and I am still unsure about my final decision between Dartmouth, University of Notre Dame, and Tufts PhD in Physics (CME). Please respond to this if you have an insight. Help out a confused international student before the deadline. Thank you.

OMG!! I got in!!! Thank you so so so much to those who considered my situation in their decision!!! I was corresponding all week with them and finally got the official letter!!! I'm getting my PhD y'all I'm so EXCITED!!!!! Out of 14 applications, 12 rejections, 1 admit to a master's and this one makes the second one! On the second to last day no less!! Congratulations to everyone who got in and I wish the best for those who had to go to plan B! I love you all and this community and I'm so lucky to be joining everyone in academia this year!!

Checked Quest Monday night and found 'Deny' then received rejections via email today.

I am sorry to have to write that we have filled most of our positions for our Fall 2021 class. It is possible that we will make a few more offers as currently-selected candidates alert us of their decisions, but at the moment, you have not been selected for our wait list and we will likely not be able to offer you admission

Indian student, 3.74/4.00 UG GPA, 3 summer research projects (one in astronomy). No publications. Couple of months of TA experience.

Generic rejection saying they were unable to offer me admission

Email to check portal. A generics rejection email saying they recieved 3 times as many applications this year compared to previous year.
