I emailed the program office to know about my results and this is what they wrote, "Hi, At this time all admit and waitlist decisions have gone out." So basically all those who haven't heard from NYU as yet are implicitly rejected!

I received an informal email saying that they are interested in recruiting me in Feb. Did anyone in the same boat receive followup or official letters? I followed up once and they told me that they are going to give update this week but it's already Friday.

Emailed to enquire and received offer letter shortly afterwards.
