To the poster for columbia below: I'm not surprised by the number 700 ! Most students applying to NYU, Boston, UC santa barbara, Wisconsin-Madison (2 year) would have applied to Columbia as well, as it's higher ranked and has a comparable fee structure. International applicants to Oxbridge, LSE and UCL would have applied as well (although UK is cheaper). But the quality of the program is only as good as the faculty (needed for good recommendations) and if the material is conducive for PhD study. That still needs to be seen.

to poster below, maybe 3 or 4 acceptances to the MA program for the people who were rejected to the Phd program. What is econ dept at USC doing ? this is totally ridiculous especially for the people who have to relocate in case they get accepted.

Someone kindly advise me please: (I am panicking and don't have time) How good is the MA Econ co-op option at SFU? Do international students get placed for the 2-term co-op? They say that the co-op option is there for MA students but the website gives no info on how many students take up jobs every year / where they take up jobs. I also have an MA Econ Co-op offer from UWaterloo. Please provide advice on which program would better my chances of landing a co-op job? I'll be really grateful for any insights into this. Thank you so much. P.S - I want to work after the master's and will not be applying for the PhD.

Is there anyone who knows what's going on in UCSD Econ waitlist? I got an email two days ago (4/13) saying that they will have new updates on 4/17. I have kept asking the program how many are waitlisted / how I am ranked among candidates, but they keep saying nothing. It would be grateful if anyone who's also waitlisted or who's already in can answer some of these questions?
