Received an email that tell me to check the portal, then found out I was waitlisted.

Got an email from DGS.

Applied Math/Econ Dual Degree. 3 year varsity baseball player. Summer Institute of Biostatistics Alumni, Presented Poster at a Conference and have a lot of TA work under my belt. My GPA was not the best, nor my GRE, but somehow I got off the waitlist for the Iowa Biostats PhD! Crazy. Praise God, because I'm from a small Liberal arts college.

I got an email from the admissions committe, though I found it to be very impersonable. Dear MFA Creative Writing Applicant, I am writing to let you know that we have not been able to recommend you for admission to the Masters of Fine Arts program in Creative Writing at Syracuse University. This is a complicated judgment which depends a great deal on the abilities and opinions of those instructors here who must be able to feel that they could clearly serve the development of your writing.
