Funding not guaranteed in first or fifth year; tuition waiver and TA/RA salary in second through fourth years. Will decline. 7a/3w/5r/4?

I emailed and found out that I have been waitlisted for the funding. If any one has a better offer and do not intend to attend, it would really help if you could let the department know.

Admitted to regular MA stream, waitlisted for PhD stream. May hear back on wait list status next week.

Have there been any decisions on funding yet? If not, does anyone know when they should arrive?

Has anyone else not heard from Vanderbilt? I saw that rejections have gone out, so I'm guessing there's just an implicit waitlist now? Or do you think they're doing rolling rejections?

To the poster below, I would give it some time before thinking that. I think they mentioned that they typically start reviewing applications in March and continue to process applications until May, so maybe they are not done making offers yet.

To the poster below: I am not aware of the work load as a TA at SFU. A have spoken to a student there, and he told me it somewhat depends on the course to which you are a TA. Additionally, he said that studying for your classes plus doing TA chores almost requires your full time in a week. However, I am not sure about the accuracy of these statements!

Accepted off waitlist; funding decision on 4/8/15; full tuition, health insurance, 30k 1st year, 18k years 2-5....ecstatic

What is the standard funding package they are offering this year to PhD students? They offered me 24.5k but as an international student I have to pay the tuition fee as well.

Email at about 10 PM EDT. Accepted after being on waitlist. No mention of funding on letter, will e-mail and ask tomorrow if funding opportunities are available. Have a funded offer from another Top 30 with a fellowship for at least 3 years but would prefer UT. Will negotiate with UT for funding.
