They noted that applications were much higher this year with an acceptance rate of 3%.

Very nice rejection letter. They only took around 2-3% of applicants, and this was a last minute add-on for me, so I'm not bothered. 3a/5r/6p.

Received an email this morning that a decision was posted to my portal. The decision status is listed separately from the application, BELOW the recommendation providers. There is a link that says "your application decision is now available online," which leads to a (in my case, rejection) letter. I currently have 1a/4r/0w/7p...however, I am applying to primarily Rhetoric programs. (CUNY was one of the three English programs I applied to.)

Yeehaw. Saddled up for a rejection and was not left hanging.

Applied for the Literature and Culture track. Probably the best and most thoughtful standard rejection letter I've seen so far, will definitely be applying again (I'll be going into an MA program after several PhD rejections this year).

Congratulations to the person who got accepted to the English Masters! I haven't heard from them yet. May I ask what your GPA/stats were? Again, congrats! Corvallis must be a wonderful place to live.

3% acceptance rate.

Applied to lit track. Email said only 2% of applicants were accepted - 360 applications for 10 positions. I had gotten the top 15% email, as an FYI.

I didn't think I'd have much of a chance getting in anyway, but it still stings knowing I didn't get in despite working on a strong application. Good luck to everyone!
