Economics Graduate School Admission Results

Rejected from the Waitlist. Didn't expect much: Northwestern seems to waitlist many more candidates than other universities, and they only notified me about the waitlist with an impersonal email asking me to send updates through a Google Forms. They also did not invite me to the visit day. Good luck to the remaining candidates! 0a/3w(2 became rejections)/10r, only one left...

Deciding between Uni of Maryland and Uni of Pittsburgh. Any suggestions?

After several rejections I have been accepted. I was not interviewed nor received a waitlist email. I was contacted last weekend by professor asking me if I will attend in case they made me an offer and received the offer on monday. I'll attend. The process was stressful (and long), so to whoever reads this in following years, hang in there and believe in yourself :). I don't have a perfect background, but I believe research experience counts a lot, good letters of recommendations and match with faculty are super important. There is a lot of randomness and luck here, is it impossible to guarantee that your profile will be read by someone who appreciate your interests (sad but true - econ is to broad). TPB about UCSB's low stipend. What's ypur rough breakdown?

Received an email from Daniella about an offer with tuition-fee offset scholarship. Just received the formal offer on April 12 that mentions nothing about the scholarship. Anyone facing the same issue?

Got an acceptance from UCSB Economics Program but I will be declining it because they do not have any development economist there. Also, the stipend sucks.
