It seems that they have rolling rejections

Received an e-mail from the university congratulating on my acceptance. However, the department's chair says they are still trying to figure out about funding

Accepted from the waitlist

Told that there would probably not be an update until April but better than a rejection! 1a/1r/1w/8p

REJECTED in this cycle after they ACCEPTED me two years ago but I chose to go elsewhere for my MA. I was a much worse candidate then. This makes no sense. Good luck to everyone else.

Email to check portal for the most generic rejection ♡ Also, it mansplained grad school to me? "Graduate education is characterized by extremely small classes and close mentoring by faculty. As a result, programs have only a limited number of available positions..." Thx UVA, the more you know!

Grad GPA: 4.00. Undergraduate education outside philosophy. The letter said "This was an exceptionally competitive year for the program, and unfortunately we were unable to accommodate a number of strong applicants."

Told that I won't hear back until at least April, but after 6 straight rejections, this is such a relief!

Waitlisted after interview. Will be withdrawing

Prob will not hear back for a few weeks about wait list they said

4A/1W/many rejections/several pending. Kind of surprised by this waitlist! I didn't think I even stood a chance. Seems to be unranked at this moment.
