Political Science Graduate School Admission Results

Should no news from LSE be interpreted as implicit rejection now? Only few people have posted their admission/rejection status, but it seemed last year was similar. My LSEforYou status is still "under consideration".

Conditional on graduating with at least 3.5 gpa and taking EC400 course in August. No funding. Apparently the original offer letter was sent March 7th but I didn't see anything on the tracker until today. I recommend sending an inquiry. Best of luck to all waiting!

I am in the same boat. Received my ID on Jan 21, got rejected from my first choice program (MRes/PhD in political science) on Feb 5, and on the same day my application went under consideration by the IR department. No words from them for almost 6 now, so things do not look good. I have an MPhil degree from one of the top UK unis (merit), and a BSc in political science from a developing country with a grade equivalent to first degree honors.

That's that, my fate. But a little annoyed at how they explained the rejection - that they simply didn't have enough places to offer. Understand the British politeness but a bit more sincerity would have been nice, instead of this disingenuous non-reason.

To the poster of LSE Msc Economics rejection. Can you please provide more details about your background? GRE, GPA, Name of the school etc.

No funding...

I had very good grades (currently studying PPE in Italy), two work experiences, and two exchange programs (one during high school, one during university). I guessed what really made the difference though was the Personal Statement, as I'm pretty sure everybody applying to LSE has good grades etc. I applied on March 1, received my personal ID on March 15, and I was accepted on April 1. Weirdly enough I saw I was made an offer on LSE4U but did not receive an email yet. I'm not the first one experiencing this problem.

Yes, that's my real GPA. Low, low, low overall (with a good reason & a high departmental GPA) but with a solid personal statement and recommendations. Applied in late March. Absolutely thrilled to be accepted, but may have to defer until next year.

Will look at my PhD options and then decide

Email from school. Unconditional offer!

Applied early November, received an email stating that I had been put on the waiting list mid December, and one in late January saying that the file had been sent to selctors for final consideration. Over three months and counting since I applied.

It took them forever! After about 18 weeks with no word I emailed them, and they said they'd need updated transcripts. I sent those in last week and was accepted today. To the poster below for Data & Society, I'm sorry this has been so frustrating!
