Political Science, University Of Colorado, Boulder Email to check portal. Expected as I didn't get an interview. I have two graduate degrees, research experience, publications, and I spoke with my POI before applying. I just don't know what they want.

Political Science, University Of Colorado, Boulder I thought I would be rejected because I didn't get an interview invitation. >> "For a bit of context, we face a challenging budgetary situation due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Therefore, like most of our peer institutions, we must admit a significantly smaller cohort than we would in a typical year. Adopting this conservative approach to our recruitment process is especially important because we are deeply committed as a department to ensuring funding to our students as they make progress toward their PhDs. This commitment has forced us to waitlist some outstanding candidates like yourself who would have likely been admitted in a typical year. I note this to signal how impressed we are with your credentials. If things do not work out to admit you this year, we would encourage you to give our program another try in a future application cycle. Though of course I can offer no guarantees."

Political Science, University of Chicago Indicated that my application was passed on to the CIR masters admissions committee. Does anyone know what the chances are for acceptance to this masters for rejected PhD applicants who are referred?
