A summer internship with CERN in particle physics (conducting research regarding Higgs boson), Fall Internship experience with the US Naval Academy, and 1.5+ years of research experience with my mentor at my home institution. Applied towards Condensed Matter Experiment or High Energy Particle physics. The first acceptance so far, Boston is one of my up-there schools I am only waiting to hear from the remainder before making my final decision, but great offer and a great program, Im so elated!

checked the portal 1/25 and saw the acceptance. just received the email. the official offer letter will come out later. Overall GPA, Major GPA lower. 2 years research with one PI, 1 nth author publication. no gre. no interview.

Nuclear-theory. Typical state school for undergrad. 1 Reu in computational physics one suli in theoretical QIS and 1 year working with nuclear experimentalist. Five papers as the nth author in nuclear experiment papers. 2 conferences, 1 talk, 3 poster presentations. No GRE thank God. I am super excited! Met a couple PIs at DNP conference and my best rec letter works very closely with MSU which I am sure helped! I will be studying the intersections of QIS and Nuc-Theory.

Email came in at 12:01, but I had an informal chat with POI 1/17 where she let me know I was accepted and would get official word soon. That's overall GPA, major gpa uncalculated by school (ivy), but I'm a B student. Hep-ex, 2 ish years of research under 1 PI, definitely think that LOR helped, 1 nth author publication, no GRE, no interview. First reply of the season! so grateful it's a yes so i can wait for the rest calmly.
