Political Science, University Of Michigan (Ann Arbor) I was very surprised! Thought I fitted into faculty research interest like glove. 4% of 600 applicants accepted. Very competitive. My consolation is I got into another top program. Big congratulations to those accepted.

Political Science, University of Chicago Very surprised that I wasn't considered for the MAPSS program since I was accepted last year with partial scholarship. UChicago doesn't do deferments and I only reapplied to the PhD program because MA was too expensive for 9 online courses during covid with low possibility for jobs. Worked extra hard this time to have a polished application and more publications and still rejected lol.
