Received an e-mail. It directed to the website and saw an acceptance result.

Had applied for PhD, but offered Masters. I guess No papers and GPA make sense, but had one year of research experience.

Have strong connection with one professor, but apparently he isn't involved in commitee. No pub but have 1.5 years master research and thesis.

I was unable to manage any professor from Clemson University, although I did emailed quite a few of them. As a result, I got rejected from the PhD program. Following rejection, they offered self-funded masters program.

I was offered admission to their MS degree program instead with the option to then apply internally for the PhD program once I complete the MS coursework.
