English Graduate School Admission Results

Ignore the waitlist. Is there anyone who didn't hear back from Wisco MA/PhD (Literary Studies) program? I saw some acceptances and rejections have gone out, but I didn't hear back from them as of yet. Confused.

3rd Rejection. I'm an international applicant. Application fee for US universities are expensive, esp. when you belong to 3rd world country. Rejection not only stung but also made a huge dent in my finances.

Anyone who interviewed between Jan 25-28 -- have you heard from POI or adcomm informally yet?

This was my safety school. Got a couple of other acceptances from top programs already, so not going here.

GPA is Graduate, and I have 2 Graduate degrees. Email to check portal for decision letter.

3.95 grad GPA

Very nice email from the DGS with my acceptance, GTAship, stipend, and encouragement to get in touch. Feels great!! This is the first of nine schools I've heard back from. Best of luck to other candidates!

Received notification email from the graduate school.

Reached out to director of admissions who told me I was rejected. He also said that all those who have offers have apparently been contacted by now from which I took that if you haven't been emailed by the department you can assume you were rejected also. Congrats to all admits. Given this was my safety school I suspect that's me done for this cycle but I'll be rallying my forces for next year!

Fully did not see the "not" in "not being offered admission," told my mom and some pals, then read the email again and realized I'm a fool lmfao. I think I would be way more bummed if the UCSC letter hadn't come on the same day (and I saw it just before). Good luck to everyone else!!

GPA is MA. Got a really, really nice letter from someone in the department letting me know informally that there would be an official offer soon. They talked about my writing sample, and gave some details about the department. Official offer letter probably won't come until March, and that'll have all the financial information.

After getting rejected by the Madison campus, five minutes later I received this acceptance! I am so relieved to know that no matter what the other programs decide, I am officially going to graduate school!

GPA is MA - First official rejection, so feeling bummed about the rest of the season. Although, we all only need one acceptance!!!
