do you think they're done making their decisions and have sent out all their acceptances, rejections and waitlists? or do you think they're doing it on a rolling basis?

This was honestly the nicest semi-bad news I have ever gotten. The email came off as really sincere and I'm hopeful about moving up into the official acceptance pool. 1a/2r/1w/3p

TTPB: I am in the same boat as you. I am still "submitted," nervously waiting for that yellow box to appear telling me there is an update. Then again, every time I've checked the portal I have gotten a rejection, lol. So I am hoping for an email from a live person in the department! Good Luck! 6r/1w/0a/5p

Received email from Director of Graduate Studies

I received an email with funding letter attached. I wasn't expecting an email for another several weeks so this was an amazing surprise.

Five-year funding. Does anyone know how many demographer applicants Minnesota is accepting?

To the poster below, I also have not received any update in regard to my application status. I am a bit nervous. I actually contacted the department yesterday when the decision would come out, and they said "Admission decisions should be going out by the end of this month." I don't exactly know what that means. It could be that they already sent out all the acceptances and waiting to send out the rejections. Or, it could be that they are sending out acceptances and rejections in rolling basis. Who knows ://

1a/1r/2p Have people actually heard back from GSAS? I was really hoping for some sign of a decision by now. My application is still "submitted" status, not even "under review." Also, if anyone does respond, please don't respond with a condescending tone - I'm so sick of trolls and fakes on here. I'm just trying to determine which posts are real or not. Would actually love to hear if any other applicants are in the same "submitted" boat.

Is anyone planning to reject their offer from UT Austin? I'm happy to be waitlisted but this season is just overall generally a pretty horrible goddamn nightmare, I don't want to get my hopes up too much
