Very disappointed. They didn't even provide an explanation.

If you are not planning on taking your offer from UCSB, or even if you plan on declining your waitlist spot here, please do so as soon as possible! This is my alma mater and I would love to attend this school. I would also really like to no longer be in limbo about what I am doing with my life, literally all my stress is in your hands!

Second waitlist, don't know how long any of the waitlists are but I assume I have a slim chance

Declined PhD acceptance from OSU. (This is the same person who said they would decline by early April -- I hope this helps move people off the waitlist, especially the person whose top pick is Ohio State! It's a truly wonderful department, and I'm sure you'll enjoy it there!)

Solicited application status and notified that I was waitlisted. Like the other posters here and on the FB group, I was also told that I am "near the top of our waiting list." I wonder how many people can be near the top?... Anyways, still nice.

Email from graduate coordinator. Still waiting on an official letter from the graduate division. Was informed by the chair of the department that the graduate division has been slow to send out official acceptances in the past.

I was told that I am near the top of their waiting list by prof Zimmerman

Rejected from PhD, offered acceptance to MA instead.
