2.5 years of research experience, 7 talks at conferences, 2 published papers (one first author), and 1 (also first author) awaiting submission. My GPA sunk during Covid and I thought my chances for getting into a grad school were gone but I'm so happy that I was able to get into at least one!

CMT, Interviewed last week, more or less an informal interview (i.e. from what I heard, for UMich, interview is approximately equal to admission)

4/4 GPA in MSc not undergrad. MSc from a decent-reputation US school. Applied for quantum gravity or mathematical physics. 1 HEP-th paper, corresponding author. Got email to check app portal. The financial details of the offer are excellent! If you are waiting for UVA I hope you get it just because of the financial offer!
