Received an email to check portal.

Admitted to the Masters in Sociology and Education instead.

Has anyone who applied to the MA Sociology and Education program heard back? Someone on the forum said they got in already, I wasn't aware that it was a rolling admissions deal.

My page still shows as under review. Anyone else in the same boat? Should I reach out? (not waitlist)

TTPB: I'm not the one who posted he or she was interviewed before this, but I was also interviewed at almost the same time as you. It's an email from NYU Shanghai and the Sociology Department at NYU New York. Since you were interviewed, I believe that you have a very strong background. This is a really tough application cycle. I don't know if they will send out more offers, but good luck with your application!

TTPB : I will not apply for a Master's program next fall. I reckon that this rejection does not reflect my worth nor academic potential. I will apply to less prestigious programs, in Europe and beyond. A phd is a phd, regardless of the institution. Rejected by 13/14 soc phd programs, the one acceptance is terribly bad and no funding... Hope all of you have better luck than me
