Sociology Graduate School Admission Results

Received an email in early February saying they wanted to admit me but were waiting on funding, and received another email from the DGS today telling me they're preparing an offer of admission. Formal letter from the graduate school with funding info will follow.

First of all, cong for those who accepted by the university. Can I please ask that when did you get the e mail from the university?This week or last week. My status is still No Decision Yet. Thanks :))

To the York discussants below, I am the international student who got accepted into the program. The deadline to accept the offer is March 17. So, hopefully, you'll hear something from them soon. Hold on tight!

Do you know that the results declared only for domestic students so far? In the portal,my situation is No Decision Yet. Is there any international student who heard anything from the departmnt so far

(ignore WL) They only accept 1-2 international students per cycle (probably only one int. student this year, bc of COVID). I saw a post of an int. student being accepted already, so you might have been rejected if you're an int. student. The rejection letters come much later than acceptance letters - probs after a good number of people commit to their program.

(Ignore waitlist) TTPB: Rejections usually come a little later, perhaps a few weeks after acceptances have been sent. So, my best guess is that we will be rejected in a few weeks' time.
