To the poster who got accepted from UConn. This year UConn is hiring two new faculties in AMO and last year they hired 4 new faculties. So, the people applying to AMO has a higher chance of getting accepted. Also, there are fewer graduate students than required in the physics department so, they will be taking more students than last year.
