Got accepted without the Amelio fellowship, i let them know that I'd need the fellowship. They have already made fellowship offers but if anyone declines, they'd grant me the fellowship. Therefore, if anyone who has got the Amelio fellowship has better offers, pls decline and let them know, would be very helpful

Receiving an email saying that they have made their initial round of offers and I'm on the waitlist. I indeed aspire to work with their department. I appreciate that you can reject their offer soon if you have another better offer.

Quantum Simulation/Quantum Machine Learning - 7 months of computational research experience in a different field (nuclear engineering) - 16 months of industry internship in a different field (analog IC design) - undergrad in Engineering Physics (Canadian citizen) - reached out to two potential supervisors in December (kinda late I guess), one of them never responded, had a meeting with the other one but he said he could only take me on if I got NSERC (we don't hear back about NSERC until the end of March but somehow UBC already decided to reject me)

Cosmology, I got an ‘informal' email telling me about the outcome but the official one came through the 7th of February

Is there anyone accepted into hep-ex or hep-ph or hep-th into Berkeley?

It really concerning how the competition for grad admissions has elevated. I have friends who have multiple published papers and are getting rejected from all the schools they applied to. I myself got selected into some good HEP-th programs but, I got rejected from places where I expected to have a clear chance considering my research profile and grades of graduate-level courses. I hope most of you get selected, even if not, do not lose your motivation and please try to pursue research if possible. We all get rejections but that does not mean you are not good enough in the long run. Take care and congratulations that you got this far. There is a long way ahead, enjoy the journey.

Condensed matter theory, offer came in Friday, no prior interview. Email mentioning that there are more than 1100 applicants this year, gosh it's getting more competitive each year

CMT, received a language interview request on Wednesday, offer came in Friday. No research interview

Ignore waitlist. Did everyone get notifications from Brown? It seems like I was forgotten by the department...no acceptance nor rejection
