Graduate School Admission Results

Received email from system asking me to check portal. Pchem track, GPA 4.08/4.30 , no GRE, 3 summer research (1 each summer, 2 at home university in Asia, 1 overseas), no publications, 2 posters and 2 presentations at local college student conferences, 3 year experience as tutor for first-year undergrad science course, 5 good LoR (1 from renowned professor in my field)

One publication, honors thesis, 3.5 years of undergraduate research, 2 conference presentations, 2 years TA experience

No GRE. No Pub. 1 conference

First author publication in JACS. Top research group at a top university. Extensive research experience including a summer at another top research university. Pretty epic fail.

Sorry to all others who have the alerts on for this. To the previous poster, thank you for sharing. I applied to work under Dr. Terence Capellini. So, I am feeling a bit worried I have not heard back yet. Do you know if you are getting interviewed by multiple PIs or just one? Good luck!

Received email earlier today indicating interview in February. Wasn't expecting to hear anything until mid-February so this is a surprise.

3rd interview

my background is numerical and theoretical condensed matter, I have 2 paper ( 1 co-first author). In the interview they asked about my research and my goals for phd.

Just posting to share info from Admissions Director -- HKS does not conduct interviews as part of its selection process. Waitlist notification was not received, just posting to share info

4.0 GPA Biochemistry BS. Currently a PREP Student. No publications. ABRCMS poster award uploaded to application.

Got an email offering an interview from Dr. Capellini (not the PI I applied under) this evening! Seems consistent with past years and them offering interviews the last week of January.
