Speech Language Pathology Graduate School Admission Results

I interviewed 2/22 and accepted my spot on the waitlist. I've gotten into two programs elsewhere but I did really enjoy my time at Emerson/visiting Boston so we'll see what happens! :)

To the William Paterson poster - I got that email too! It made my heart jump when I saw how short it was I automatically thought it was rejection! Did anyone who got accepted or waitlisted at WPU get a similar email before you got your admissions notification? Not sure if it's good news or just general.

When will Emerson send notifications?

Does anyone accepted the offer and knew what's the next step? I only received a message from Dr. Anderson asking about prerequisites and nothing else! (Also wanna ask if anyone created a facebook page)

Stated have not made a final decision yet, at this point it doesn't look like we are going to conduct additional interviews....In that case you are welcome to reapply for Fall of 2016.. Are you kidding me..I had to email them..Why not reject months ago..So cruel Good luck to those accepted..These schools need to all get their acts together...

Didn't actually feel confident about my writing exercise or interview, so this is a pleasant surprise for sure. I will most likely be accepting this offer! Email said I have to respond with my decision by Sunday, March 27

This is my first acceptance and I cried tears of joy! However, I need to make a decision by March 15th with a non-refundable $1000 deposit and have not yet heard back from the other two schools I applied to. This is the highest rated program I applied to, but also the most expensive program by quite a bit, and I have to be considerate of my family needs when making this decision. Fingers crossed that the other schools send out decisions soon! For those who may be wondering, I had strong GPA in my last two years, with a rocky past (was re-admitted via fresh start 8 years after starting my bachelor's degree.) I repeated some key courses and boosted my grades. I took two graduate level courses as an undergraduate and earned an A in each. I participated in independent studies for additional experience, and worked part-time jobs in related fields (ABA, substitute paraprofessional.) I have worked for the past two and a half years as a SLPA. I spent a lot of time on my essays and obtained strong letters of recommendation. It can be done! I was wait listed, but not accepted to any programs during my first application round. Don't give up on your dream! Best of luck to those still waiting!

i don't think my application was reviewed properly as i was notified they would send my decision the end of this week due to a system glitch. next day later, rejected.

Responding the the poster below about Emerson interview. Yes, I have been checking my portal non stop. It just popped up in the credentials section today along with an email. So I would keep checking, because I don't think they are done sending them out!

Very sad...Had to email them to find out decison...didn't have the decency to email on their own..So disappointed in them...feel like they strung us along.. Good luck to all those accepted..
