Will reject, Davis sucks. -JJH

Clearly a troll is attempting to damage Davis' program, probably to improve their chances of being admitted. Bad stuff!

Hello: Thank you for your interest in the Economics Doctoral Program at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. The Graduate Admissions and Aid Committee reviewed your application and has decided not to admit you to our PhD program. The applicant pool was large and very strong. We received over 550 applications, and admitted about 110, aiming for a class of 25. The vast majority of the applicants have excellent credentials, and it is very difficult to rank them, but we must do so. We recognize that we make many mistakes in this process, rejecting many people who will turn out to be fine economists. When you applied, you indicated that you did not want to be considered for our Economics Master's-Graduate Foundations program. Am rejecting after hearing experience from current students 1a 2w 12r

Will be rejecting after getting ahold of the full placement list which is not shared on their website. The drop off is steep... good luck if you choose to attend.

stipend is unlivable anyway, why go somewhere where you can't survive on "full funding"

Email with rejection before portal was updated. Email said they received over 550 applications and admitted 110 for a class of 25. They said their applicant pool was very strong. It seems to be a boilerplate email.

No interview.

Ignore status. Has anyone received a reject or WL from Syracuse? I saw only one acceptance a couple of weeks ago and it is getting pretty late for university based on past years. Thinking about following up with program director.

Received offer via email. Only tuition offset scholarship, no living stipend. Already rejected for better offers. Good luck everyone!
