Have anyone heard from Yale?

Not surprised as I didn't get the interview, despite having versatile skills in neuroimaging and publications. However, it's still pretty hard for international students to break into the cycle of American students, especially most of their students already came from amazing schools like Ivy. I guess the best strategy is to go to a good school first and to transfer to Yale or get strong LoR or at least from someone the POI knows to get your SOP be read.

Rejected. This was my top pick, but I was accepted in Duke, Vanderbilt, Candler and Princeton. I have no clue why not YDS. Best wishes to everyone.

To poster below: I think most POIs do skype interviews if they want to discuss research overlap, which they use in deciding who to bring to campus. The department isn't meeting until Jan, so POIs might still do interviews in the first two weeks of Jan.

Never received an email telling me my status was updated, but letter was posted onto my application page.
