Interviewed by prof, it went well, and he said he would vouch for me. What ended up hurting me was that I couldn't guarantee that I would enroll if accepted (they give very few offers so they don't like to give out offers unless they think you will very likely accept).

Wrote to the graduate registrar in poli sci to ask about this spate of acceptances, and received this email in response at 12pm on 17 Feb: "Thank for your email. Our decisions have not gone out yet (nothing informal either) but we expect them to go out very soon. I'm sorry to hear that incorrect information was posted that causes more stress for applicants!" If you were actually accepted, congratulations. If you're causing trouble, don't.
