I called the department to ask if they had sent out all acceptances and waitlist notifications and the woman I spoke with told me they have. So, if you have not heard anything from them (like me) you can assume you were rejected. Kind of disappointing that they string applicants along instead of notifying. Do better, Vanderbilt.

Have not heard from this school since the January 15 deadline. Anyone who have tried to contact Vanderbilt Interdisciplinary Materials Science?

Informed about admission via personal email from professor on February 22nd. Official letter send on February 25th. My first acceptance so overjoyed!!

TTPB: I wouldn't give up hope! It says on the website that they sometimes send acceptances in March without inviting the person to the Open House.

50% tuition reduction!

Unlikely to accept due to current #MeTooSTEM issues in the department. I wish they would address this concerning issue for applicants. Its a huge turn off that they think we're unaware or won't be influenced by the very public issues within VBI right now.
