Domestic; Applied for two year MSW (Mental Health Track).

Domestic applicant to the two year MSW program. BSc Psychology and criminology from UofT. GPA in last 2 years of study was 3.5, CGPA was 2.9. 3+ years of working in shelters, 2 years of social work-related volunteer and work experiences. Best of luck friends!

Non-BSW domestic applicant. Current 4th year undergrad so limited paid experience, but several hundred volunteer hours. Research experience. Very strong references. Likely waitlisted due to limited professional experience.

Domestic applicant, non-BSW stream. 3.9/4.0 GPA, no social work-related experience, although I had a few customer-service experiences. Will most likely reapply after I do my master's, if I don't get in on waitlist!

Notified by email to check portal. Waitlisted. Domestic student with a MEd from UofT and two years of experience with a lab in the social work faculty. Very sad!

Domestic applicant for joint program at UTSC (MHS-MSW). Not the greatest GPA (around the minimal requirement), have average work experience but not much in human services. Hopeful to apply again next year with improved GPA and experience, good luck to other applicants!

Canadian applicant. Strong academic record (3.95/4.0 undergrad; 4.17/4.0 graduate) with a previous master's degree. Rejected due to insufficient experience in the field. There were over 900 applicants to the program this year. Better luck to the other applicants.

Domestic student. Not the strongest GPA, but 8 years of social service experience, and retook a stats course (which it seems they look heavily upon) and received a 90% in that. 2-year Mental Health and Health stream.

Domestic student. I checked Acorn randomly today and I saw an update about an outstanding tuition deposit. I'm so pleased! I got into the 2-year MSW, Social Justice and Diversity stream.

Waitlisted but the update was provided via an email notification to view the status on the application portal. This is for the MSW-ITR program. Canadian domestic applicant.

Applied for the AS MSW Health and Mental Health FOS. Currently completing my BSW. Strong references. Over 7200 hours of social work related experience. 4.0 GPA on 4.0 scale.

Deposit was requested through ACORN on Feb 25, 2025 & I got an email that my application updated on SGS application portal on Feb 26, 2025. Experience: Direct field (paid) 8000 hours; Relevant paid: 2000 hours; Volunteer: 400 hours GPA: last 2 years full time 3.7 (ish)

3.3/4 GPA. 8 years of International work experience. Strong references. Applied on 18/Nov for 2 years MSW. Checked ACORN a couple of days ago that said ‘invited’ with a 500$ pending duties. Received Email 27/Feb to check the application. Accepted!!!
