Moved off the waitlist. This is my 5th year applying to Phd programs, in the past all rejections aside from one failed waitlist from truly mediocre schools. My advice is to just keep going, no matter how sad and frustrating this process is. If you just keep trying and working your ass off revising your SOP and sample, you will find the right place and advisor for you. It took me forever, but I am glad it did because ended up in this incredible program with the perfect advisor for my research. Lots of tears, anger, and frustration over the years. Good luck to everyone else who has been through it. Try again and again and again and again.

My last round of trying for PhD programs, first choice and dream school/advisor. Hoping for the best.

GPA is from masters. 3 accepted publications. Did not reach out to faculty prior to applying.

3.6 gpa non-UofT undergrad last 2 years and 3.9 gpa in MSc, applied Jan 30 :)

Domestic, not double blue

Domestic student, 3.92 CGPA, and 4.0 GPA final year. UXD concentration, not double-blue.

Domestic student, 4.0 GPA final year, 3.7 CGPA. I applied on Jan 26 and got an email that my application had been updated on Feb 24!

Got an email to check the portal! CGPA was 3.7, final year was 3.9. Domestic applicant, not double-blue.

Domestic student with international background and some domestic experience. Last reference letter submitted on 5th May. Received rejection today.

UXD stream, international applicant, submitted my application on 4th March. Outcome as expected - heard they have 1,600 applicants this year.

Have anyone else had the experience of applying to the combined degree program (MI and MMSt) but only got admitted into MI?
