Accepted off the waitlist!

After several rejections I have been accepted. I was not interviewed nor received a waitlist email. I was contacted last weekend by professor asking me if I will attend in case they made me an offer and received the offer on monday. I'll attend. The process was stressful (and long), so to whoever reads this in following years, hang in there and believe in yourself :). I don't have a perfect background, but I believe research experience counts a lot, good letters of recommendations and match with faculty are super important. There is a lot of randomness and luck here, is it impossible to guarantee that your profile will be read by someone who appreciate your interests (sad but true - econ is to broad). Good luck to everyone who still waiting and good luck to future applicants ^^.

Received an email to check my "youSC" portal, and there it was! I am BEYOND thrilled and honored to be joining the coveted ranks of the USC Roski School of Art and Design! 😁

If you got into other schools you want to attend please decline your offer this is my dream school

Did anyone else receive the email of financial aid but not any notification of status?

I still haven't heard anything. Clearly a rejection, but it is frustrating that they haven't sent me an email or updated the portal. I emailed several people in the department/grad admissions and still nothing. It worked out alright for me as I got into two other programs, but for future applicants, be aware they are spotty at best when it comes to communication.

Congratulations to everyone on this though season. If you have an offer preferred than USC, take a second to decline it and let the waiting list keep rolling. Thank you!

Received an e-mail from the chair of the admissions committee. Declined the offer.

Surprised that I got accepted. I received a dominant offer from another program before the deadline, so I didn't even submit three recommendation letters. 34k stipend for at least 5 yrs (2yrs fellowship + 3 yrs TA/RA). Will decline.

SO excited! I received the email notification at 1 am and woke up at 5 am to check the portal! GRE was waived so I didn't take it! So excited for the fall semester!

GPA - 9.82 Btech IT from Tier3 college. 4 decent papers published with the help of undergrad professors. 1.5+ years of work experience. 2 technical internships.

Not actually waitlisted. Besides the 4 informal acceptances posted on the GradCafe, has anyone actually received anything from USC???? So ridiculous that they have already made decisions (I'm 100% sure that they already knew who they are going to reject before conducting the interviews in late Jan) but still procrastinating sending the letters, like, why???
