Economics, University of Southern California Actually I'm not sure if it really mean "acceptance". E-mail said: I am happy to inform you that the Department of Economics here at USC has identified you as a strong candidate for admission to our PhD program. Before moving ahead with a formal offer, we on the admissions committee would like to know if you are still seriously interested in joining us. Also informed that each ph.d student receives 30k + tuition + insurance and most fees.
