It is possible that we will make a few more offers as currently-selected candidates alert us of their decisions, but at the moment, you have not been selected for our wait list and we will likely not be able to offer you admission

Indian student, 3.74/4.00 UG GPA, 3 summer research projects (one in astronomy). No publications. Couple of months of TA experience.

Anyone know what's going on at Pitt or a good person to contact? Haven't heard anything back and they aren't responding to any of my inquiries.

Was informally told that I was on a waitlist. HUGE relief... acceptance email was in junk since yesterday!

Told I was on waitlist on March 8th, then sent me the unofficial offer yesterday. Good luck to everyone in the waitlist.

3 yrs research, 1 pub....I have declined due to other offers

TTPB: Can you please share the name/ initials of the person from the admissions committee who contacted you?

TTPB neutrino/ dm experiment. It was not an official offer and there was no funding information. I was told they are going to be sending official offers next week but wanted to see if I was still interested.

Professor emailed me and said the department is not accepting any astrophysics or cosmology students.

Got an email to check application portal. Been asking about my status for weeks without a response from them.

Reached out to see how COVID is effecting the timeline. I was told that there will be a full response sometime Thursday. Assume this means I didn't get in?

If you were accepted by some university and do not plan to attend, please reject it for those of us less fortunate who are still waiting. Thank you.

Contacted a potential supervisor on 6th March to provide some additional information about my ongoing research. He replied that most offers have gone out but there might be a second round of offers too.. Most likely won't get in but still a ray of hope exists.

How good is this school in your opinion?
