had high hopes from this university but still got rejected :(

Thought the decision would be available on Jan 15, but it came a month early.

Received email to check decision status. Rejection came a month early, was told decisions would be out by Jan. 15

Got an e-mail to check the portal and found a rejection offer.

Received an email to check portal. Already committed to another program so no that sad.

Recieved an email to check the status update. They reason of rejection was as follow: The competition was highly intense this year, and there were many highly qualified candidates. Our decision reflects only the extraordinary range of talents represented in our applicant pool, and it is not a judgment about your own abilities or potential.

Ignore WL: Checking last 2 years posts, I did not see any acceptances after April 15th. Does it mean that there are only rejects from this point on? :O

Ignore Waitlist. Has anyone heard back from the Department? Any chance of getting an admit now?

Data Science, MSE Program: I applied by the regular decision deadline. Just received first communication today. I am happy to be accepted, but I already committed to another school because of the late date of notification. Darn. Might have considered it if it came earlier.

Was waitlisted. Did not expect it. Happy.
