Told that they have accepted waitlisted students before and they'll be in touch. No official ranking so they couldn't tell me more. If anyone knows they're going to decline this one I'd really appreciate it if they didn't wait. Best of luck to you all.

(ignore waitlist) has anyone else who has been informally accepted via phone or email gotten an official acceptance through the portal? I'm still waiting on the official acceptance.

AMO - Quantum comp stuff. Personal email from admissions staff. Formal letter to come. Worked at quantum comp startup. Worked for govt contractor to write report on quantum networks. Working for private lab in Cali doing quantum stuff. 2 years Nitrogen Vacancy research at home institution. No journal pubs. No GRE.

HEP-Ex, Got an unofficial email from PI saying that official letters will be out in a week or so

AMO experiment. Unofficial acceptance through phone call and email. Official email and stipend info will be sent out in about 1 week. Also, the email was addressed to the wrong name... the voicemail was correct though so I think I'm ok. Not a great first look, but oops! Guess they can't be too mad at students who made similar mistakes in their SOPs.

Does anyone know how likely admittance is if you are given an interview?

GPA is from Masters. Undergrad was much lower. 6 years of research experience and 5 papers (none first author). Very excited!

3.98 CGPA/3.97 major GPA. 2.5 years of research and nationally recognized research fellowship. No publications, but one manuscript being prepared for submission. Does anyone know if interviewees are likely to be admitted? Shaking in my boots I'm going to celebrate with some soup.
