International from top Canadian Uni. Decent LORs. 1 year of non-DS work experience, 2 .5 years of math TA.

HEP-th. Research experience for more than 3 years. Currently doing a Masters at a top UK university, 2 papers, 990 Physics GRE. Finally, the wait is over! This is my second year applying and this year also had to see a few rejections till now. For those who are still waiting, don't lose hope. For first-time applicants who have not been accepted yet, don't give up. Find an opportunity (may be a really good masters program place or a project) where you can keep on learning and working in the field of your interest so that you come back with a better profile the next time.

Recieved an email from the chair of the sociology department. Application was due Dec. 1st and they sent out rejections months later. Was expecting a rejection since they sent out acceptances and waitlists. 1a/1w/3r/3p

Got an email telling me my status, didn't need to check the portal. I have research and clinical experience, strong letters, etc. No mention of financial aid or scholarships, no fancy acceptance letter, on portal, it immediately asks if you want to accept or decline lol
