University Of Toronto Graduate School Admission Results

Really nice email by Prof. Welsh saying "we were impressed by the rich interests in the field that you have developed". I wonder if they say that to all the rejected applicants.

To the poster below: I spoke to one of my professors on the graduate committee there and he said they haven't started reviewing the Master's applications yet, but they should be within the next week or so. I'm anticipating to hear back mid to end of March. Hope this helps!

The deadline is this coming week. But some people are waiting for other universities and so there are likely some extensions.

To the poster below inquiring about my difficulty in choosing between Ryerson and UofT. UofT is a 2 year program, costing $36K with only $3K in funding. Ryerson is1 year (with research opportunities AND internship), costing less than $10K, with a potential of $16K in funding. After spending weeks in turmoil, I've finally decided to accept the financial burden of UofT due to the program's prestige. Are you attending UofT in the fall as well?

Nothing yet. If you look on the department website you can see when the admissions committee meets based on when they book rooms for meetings. They meet every other week on Fridays. I've been keeping my eye on the calendar. They meet tomorrow and once more on April 12- usually around 10:00 (ET). They're cutting it really close to that universal April 15th deadline that a lot of universities use which can make it challenging for us to juggle offers that are time sensitive.

Please, someone tell me his/her status on the Toronto website. Is it rejected or still under review?

Was an exchange student at UofT and got very good grades there. Thought the call was an interview but really was a chat asking what type of internships I wanted. Official offer letter on the way.

Is it true that some decisions will be out before the winter break? Apart from one of the posters below, did anyone else was told that the decision will be out before the winter break during their interview?
