Comparative subfield, no GRE, strong references and grades + industry exp. in my research field. Informal email notification followed by formal offer via email too. Nice emails from two professors from the program. :) No word from UBC--Has anyone heard from them yet or know when they're releasing decisions?

Accepted via departmental email before the official acceptance letter (and acceptance on the application portal). They notified me I also have an award/some form of funding but details to come in the official letter. Domestic Canadian applicant from UBC (Vancouver).

Not surprised. Was notified that only a limited number of international students can be admitted.

I just got an update from UofT political science, waitlisted. My subfield is comparative politics. I am being waitlisted. So, if any of you plan not to go to UofT political science, please decline now for me. :'(

Emailed the department last evening to know if they have made any final decisions, since my deadline from another institute is approaching. They sent out my rejection this morning. I feel like they are wasting our time by not letting us know. If you need to know your status, try emailing.

This department was my dream and where I felt I fit the best. I believed I might even reject Harvard if I were accepted here, but unfortunately, I received a rejection. They say there's a silver lining in everything, but right now, I am profoundly sad. I feel like crying; my heart is truly broken.
