Rejected from PhD program but recommended for MAPH. Will be hearing the results of that in march.

Generic email. Accepted to Masters with 8,000 stipend. Will not be going.

I applied to the NELC PhD program but got recommended to the Masters program instead, unsure if I will accept as this would then be my second Masters.

Interview with my POI early on. She told me that decisions should take about 4 weeks from the date.

Nice phone call from the admissions chair. Requisite Astro research experience, (presumably) good letters of rec, etc. Particular interest in Cosmology must have helped.

I have a better offer else where but still bummed about rejection

I'm wondering why Chicago is not releasing their MAPSS admission yet. It seems that some of the guys who originally applied Ph.d program received MAPSS admission, but I have not heard anything from students directly applying MAPSS.

Offered Dean's Fund Award. I'm very happy to be admitted, but it is still so much money. We'll see!

AMO. I'm not expecting this... I had a REU at UChicago. Good LORs with one from the faculty and two pubs. I wonder if there's anyone accepted for AMO and would like to share their background/stats.
