MFA Painting And Drawing, University of Chicago My twin & I both applied for spots in this MFA program, hoping to study in the same program because of our similar interests, and truly thought we had a really good chance at admissions. We had taken a summer course at UChicago before, had very strong gpas from a top LAC, fine drawing & painting portfolios with an interdisciplinary aspect, wonderful recs from professors and employers, & also made it a point to stay in touch with the Department of Visual Arts (DOVA) throughout the long process ... but were both rejected at the very end & found out yesterday. For some odd reason, we never got the email notification but it was there on our individual portals. Frustrating, upsetting day!!!!
