Public Health Sciences, University of Chicago reached out to and chatted with 1 faculty member, the program director, and 2 current PhD student in 8-9/2020; submitted my application in late 10/2020; selected to interview with 5 faculty members on 1/29; interviews were on 2/5; then was told that I should expect to receive an admissions decision by 2/19

Economics, University of Chicago TBP: sorry to say it, but if you haven't heard from UChicago at this point, it is a rejection--there's no "short list" of remaining likely admits. Look at how few rejections have been posted so far (and I say this as someone who hasn't heard anything yet).

Economics, University of Chicago TPB: My rejection letter includes this sentence: “A formal letter of admission to the Master of Arts Program in the Division of the Social Sciences and details about financial aid will be forthcoming from the Social Sciences Dean of Students Office,†which I understood to be an automatic acceptance to MAPSS, no? Won't be taking it either way
