Recent Graduate Admission Results March 2021
MAPSS Quantitative Methods (QMSA), University of Chicago Email from program directors yesterday with unofficial acceptance. Portal updated last night with the official notice and funding info (30K, aka ~1/2 tuition scholarship). Direct application (rather than referred from PhD). Also got into MACSS, but otherwise this was a rough admissions season (as I'm sure others can relate to), so I'm really glad to have these 2 acceptances!

MAPSS, University of Chicago Referred from Comparative Human Development PhD. Financial aid details to "follow shortly". No GRE, great LORs, 5 years work experience between undergrad and grad, connected only briefly with POI initials ER and a few current students before writing SOP. Waiting on that $$$

MAPSS, University of Chicago For future applicants, I believe I was rejected b/c there wasn't a clear connection b/w my concentration in History and a faculty member's field of study. Overall, was not a great fit for me so I'm not too heartbroken. Congratulations to everyone accepted though!

MAPSS, University of Chicago Had applied to the Pol Sci PhD, was referred to MAPSS. Same as others, formal offer and financial aid information to 'follow shortly'. Very pleased to receive an acceptance after a round of PhD rejections, but much depends on financial aid.
