Civil Engineering, Stanford University Your application for admission to the Structural Engineering program at Stanford University has been reviewed by the Admissions Committee in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering. We regret to inform you that the committee did not recommend you for admission to our program. Because the number of applicants far exceeds the number that can be admitted, the process of making choices is difficult and painstaking. Each year, many strong candidates must be turned down. These decisions are made conscientiously by the faculty members, who have significant experience with this process. We thank you for your interest in our program and wish you much continued success in your educational pursuits. Sincerely, Admissions Committee Department of Civil & Environmental Engineering Stanford University

Linguistics, Stanford University Email to check portal. Pretty nice rejection letter, no stats on how many people applied or were offered acceptance. Already offered elsewhere so this isn't too much of a heartbreak, they also don't have exactly what I'm looking for, but obviously I was trying because it would have been an amazing opportunity.
