Rice University Graduate School Admission Results

Hi, I actually got the interview request form. I did submit the form after filling it out, however, I have not heard anything yet and/or had an interview with the PIs I mentioned in the request form. Did anyone hear yet from them after they submitted the form?

Is there anyone who is planning to reject??? this deadline process is giving me cramps.

To the poster below: Did you have an interview? If yes, then did you have any prior contact with a POI?

They are kind: they don't say reject you... they say their admission is closed...

Although got rejection, nice application experience. Their officer is very nice and responsive. If you are an international student that isn't based in the U.S., you have much fewer chances to get admitted - they invite the finalists to campus

Anyone not interested in the program? I have not heard anything from the department since Dec. Hopefully when someone rejects their offer I would have a chance in the last minute.

To the person below: I mailed the admission committee regarding the same. They replied "The faculty admissions committee for the program are making the decisions. While I cannot give you a specific date of when they will do so, it will be forthcoming in the next few weeks."

TTPB: Thanks! I'm an undergrad, I've published one first author paper, filed a patent and have another paper in preparation. I was not interviewed. I had emailed them last week asking for the status, I was told that decisions are still underway. You should email before the end of this week of you don't hear back, as Apr 15 is fast approaching.

TTPB: Congrats on getting accepted! Did you have an interview with your POI or admission committee? Also, do you have any research publications?

Accepted with a fellowship of $28,500 p.a. for 5 years, tuition waived completely. So excited!!

Did anyone got any update about Rice ECE ? I have applied and never heard back anything. Are they even looking at the applications.

if anybody has been accepted to Rice and is not intending to attend Rice, please decline the offer, so those waitlisted can get in!!!

It was disappointing to be rejected after all the interviews and passing the initial admission stage to the interview weekend program. But it never hurts when you got admission from the 8th world uni (UCL).
