Not too disappointed. Wasn't the perfect fit that another school, that as given me an offer, is.

The Department of Electrical Engineering has considered carefully your application for graduate studies. Each year we receive a large number of applications, but we can only admit a limited number of them. There are many highly qualified applicants whom we cannot admit because of our limited resources. I regret to inform you that we cannot offer you admission to the Ph.D. program in Electrical Engineering. Our best wishes to you in your pursuit of graduate education.
