Princeton University Graduate School Admission Results

I was hosted by Princeton for P3 event in October. 5 yrs research exp. 2 pubs in prep (1 first author, 1 co-author). 3 LoR (at least one v Strong). Princeton is tough, no doubt. Their reject letter was thoughtful. I have no hard feelings. Accepting that Princeton wasn't going to happen allowed me realize where my dream school truly was. I will start my PhD this fall at a university that is best suited for me and I am grateful.

Disappointed. Strong BA & MA. Strong LoRs. Work internationally in progressively senior management/policy roles w/ intl. orgs in challenging contexts - over 7 years' experience.

So lucky.... Also got Stanford MS, which do you guys think will be a better choice?

Interview email on February 4th. I got an email of acceptance from the director on March 10th. The official letter from the Graduate School to come on March 12th.

Very surprised. Bad GRE scores, but sent in very targeted personal statement and strong LORs. Had +5 years of work experience.

TTPB: I initially applied to the PhD track (Materials, Mechanics, and Structures track), but after talking with POI Sigrid Adriaenssens I changed my application to Masters. This was done because the professor wasn't sure if they would get enough funding for any PhD students this coming year. Hoping it'll make the transition to PhD easier!

TTPB: For which track did you apply to? Also which POI are you working with?

Had great talks with POI and they reached out to me personally when the decision had been made. Fully funded 2 year master's program with intention of continuing for PhD.
