(Computer Science, Northwestern University I asked the CS department about admission status. They said that due to large volume of applications, admissions are managed by the research divisions rather than a central committee, so applicants in different areas will be hearing at different times. Admission decisions are expected to be made by early june for all students.

I was admitted a while ago and NW graduate director contacted me today, asking me to make my decision soon because there are others waiting.
