TTPB about the interview: Thank you for sharing! Do you mind telling us which domain you applied to (social network, finance etc.)? To those who did not get an interview invitation last week: I'm on the same boat and TBH not expecting so much at this point. Some programs do skip interviews for the strongest applicants which in this case, interviews are for borderline applicants but I don't think that's the case for this program, based on Q&A sessions they held last year.

Not selected for interview, so, rejected!

Thank you for submitting your application to the Department of Brain and Cognitive Sciences at MIT. We have completed the review process of application materials and have notified selected candidates of interview decisions. If you did not receive an invitation to interview, it is unlikely you are being considered for admission. Official notifications will be sent in early April once final admissions decisions have been made. Because of the extremely large amount of applications we receive, we are unable to provide feedback on individual applications.

I am assuming only interviewed students are admitted. I.e: Interviewing is a necessary but insufficient step to being admitted. Why would they have a whole interview process and then just admit some people without going through that? The interview process is that you talk to 5 people about some research topic. The interviews are next week.

TTTB Prof. Manolis sent an interview email to me last month. Just a ten minutes interview. But Didn't get the accept email. I think I am rejected.

Anyone heard from structures field? Interview or acceptance?

Updated: Okay guys the news is if any one received their decision on 16 Feb amount to high percent of acceptances. if you did not received anything, i feel be prepared for a rejection. There will be few more acceptances but they will be very few. So major chunk will be sure shot rejection. Unfortunately it is what it is. stay safe.
