Interview American PhD
Physics, Harvard University Applied for AMO Exp. Low PGRE and no pubs but strong letters from well known profs, including a Harvard prof. 3 years of AMO exp at home institution (top 25) and 1 summer of BEC exp at Harvard. Was a little surprised, thought my strong research/connections could beat my PGRE. Was waitlisted at MIT and accepted to CU Boulder at least. Congrats to others who got in, and good luck to those waitlisted!
