did you get an official rejection email from the department? i haven't heard any decision yet (not waitlist just discuss)

Had an interview late January; the interview was trash, so I am not surprised. But the interview also made me realize that Dartmouth wouldn't be a good fit for me anyway (re: research interests), so I am not sad at all. Future Dartmouth applicants, be aware: the fact that one of your POIs sent you an interview request themself may not necessarily mean that they want you to join their lab. The department seemingly divvies up the interview work among themselves, and so your "POI" actually acts as merely a generic interviewer. Therefore, be prepared to answer questions regarding your other POIs as well. I messed up in this aspect.

No worries, there is always an infinitesimal bit of hope :)

I received the offer from Dartmouth on 2.19, found the email in the spam... My research interests are Ubicomp and HCI.

Thrilled to get the acceptance.

TTPB: The professor said that I should hear back from Dartmouth in a few weeks.

TTPB: I didn't apply to Dartmouth's PhD program, but went to undergrad there and am involved in research projects with a professor there. He indicated that he was doing interviews this week and next week, so I think it will be a couple weeks before you hear back officially.

TTPB: I had multiple interviews over the last couple weeks. If the prof told you that you have a high chance of being admitted, I think you shouldn't need to worry! We'll all hear back by the end of the month regardless of the decision; I doubt anyone has been formally accepted already.

To the post below who have only bachelor degree, did you get any response from department or from the professor who interviewed you?

I received an email for interview on Jan 26, 2021 and was interviewed on Feb 03, 2021. POI told me that I have very good chances of acceptances but I did not hear back yet and I am kinda getting anxious. Did anyone hear back official/unofficial news ?

I only have a bachelor's degree, but I have an interview with a professor whose research direction is different from mine on 2/2. It seems that the professor is worried that I cannot find a professor that matches my research direction at Dartmouth.
